II. Design Principles: 5 Points to Ensure Fixtures Are Easy to Use and Avoid Pitfalls
Many fixtures are not easy to use not because of poor materials, but because the design is not correct. Every fixture of ECLEN follows these 5 principles, which are simple to remember and practical:
Adaptability
The size of the fixture must match the PCB board and wave soldering track. Leave a little gap to cope with high-temperature expansion; otherwise, it will get stuck during reflow. Control the tolerance well to avoid deviation;
Protection
Block what needs to be blocked and expose what needs to be exposed. Sensitive components must not be touched by solder waves. The pressure block must also be smooth to avoid scratching the PCB board and components;
Efficiency
It should be convenient for workers to pick and place PCB boards without much effort. Optimize the solder wave contact path to reduce the defect rate;
Flow Guidance
On the back of the fixture, under the premise of not affecting the protection of SMD components, the tinning angle should be as large as possible, and tin guide grooves should be opened as much as possible to facilitate solder wave coverage and flow;
Stability
High temperature resistance is the foundation. In the furnace temperature of 260-280℃, it should not be soft, deformed, or release harmful substances. The precision of mass production should be consistent, and there must be foolproof design to avoid reversing the PCB.
